Now in its 16th year, this Beaumont Main Street fundraiser brings hundreds of dogs and their humans to Central Bark — the green area next to the Julie Rogers Theatre in downtown Beaumont — on the second Saturday of October. The morning is filled with dog competitions of improbable charm, vendor booths, food trucks, adoption opportunities through Beaumont Animal Care Shelter, and the general delight of being surrounded by hundreds of happy dogs in an outdoor setting. What Is Dogtober Fest?

Dogtober Fest is Beaumont Main Street's largest annual fundraiser — the event benefits Beaumont Main Street's revolving loan program, which provides financing for new investors taking over historical buildings in downtown Beaumont. The event is organized by Beaumont Main Street, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the revitalization of the historical downtown district. Proceeds from contest entry fees, vendor sales, and sponsorships support the downtown investment mission.
