Getting started for business owners
The owner journey on one page. Find your listing, claim and verify it, edit your details, then use your dashboard, badge, reviews and Featured.
Updated
Many Southeast Texas businesses already have a free listing on the directory, built from public business information. To manage yours, find it, claim it with your email address and confirm the link we send you. Once the claim is approved (instantly when your email matches your website's domain, otherwise after our team reviews it), you run the listing from your dashboard: update your details, reply to reviews, add the directory badge to your website and choose Featured placement when you want extra visibility. Each step below links to its full click-by-click guide.

1. Find your listing
- Go to Find your listing and search for your business name.
- Open your business in the results. Its page lives at an address like
/businesses/your-business-name-city. - If your business has no listing yet, add it with the free form at Add your business. An admin reviews each new submission before it appears in the directory. The add your business guide has the full steps.
2. Claim it
Claiming is free. On your business page, use the claim button. It opens the claim form for that listing, where you enter your email address and your name and ask for a confirmation link. If you are already signed in, you can claim the listing directly with the account you are using.
The claim guide has the full steps.
3. Verify that you own it
- Open the email we send and click the confirmation link.
- Choose a password. This sets up your directory account and signs you in, so you land in your dashboard.
- An admin reviews the claim. While the review is open, the listing appears in My Listings and shows Claim Pending Approval when you open it. Editing unlocks as soon as the claim is approved.
Confirming your claim from the email link also starts 30 days of free Featured placement for the listing. The verify ownership guide has the full steps.
4. Edit your listing
After approval, open your dashboard, choose My Listings, then Edit on your business. You can update:
- Your business name and description
- Your street address, city, state and ZIP code
- Your phone number, website and email address
- Links to your Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, Yelp and BBB profiles
The edit your listing guide has the full steps.
5. Use your dashboard
Your dashboard is where you manage everything after you sign in. The menu includes My Listings for the listings you manage, Quote Requests for quote requests customers send you, Job Listings for posting openings, and Settings for your account. The owner dashboard guide has the details.
6. Add the badge to your website
Each approved listing has a verified badge you can place on your own website. It links visitors back to your directory listing. From your listing's edit page, choose Get Badge, pick a size and copy the embed code into your website. The website badge guide has the full steps.
7. Grow your reviews
Customers can leave a review on your listing page. From your listing's edit page, the Reviews button opens every approved review, and you can post a public reply to each one. Replies show under the review on your listing page. The get more reviews guide has the full steps.
8. Get Featured
Featured listings appear in the directory's Featured sections. There are two ways to get there:
- Free for 30 days when you confirm your claim from the email link.
- Boost from My Listings in your dashboard, which adds a paid Featured stack to the listing. The current price is shown on the button, and listings with more stacks appear earlier in the Featured grid.
The free vs Featured guide compares the options.
Troubleshooting
My business does not show up in search
Search for a shorter version of the name, or the name without "LLC" or "Inc". If it still has no listing, add your business and an admin will review it.
The claim page says the listing is already claimed
Another account already owns the listing. Email [email protected] with the listing address and your role at the business, and we will review the ownership with you.
My listing shows Claim Pending Approval
An admin is reviewing your claim. Editing unlocks as soon as it is approved, and you can sign in and check back at any time.
I need to sign in again
Go to Sign in and use the email address and password you chose when you confirmed your claim. Choose Forgot password? on that page to set a new password.
I still have a question
Email [email protected] with your business name and city, and we will help you with the next step.
